Nutrition Research Institute

Since its inception, the Nutrition Research Institute, located in Kannapolis, North Carolina, has been committed to conducting innovative basic and translational science supporting the paradigm that understanding individual differences in requirements and responses to diet will advance nutrition science. We believe that these advances constitute the path to success in preventing or mitigating the deleterious effects of chronic diseases and aging, as well as for improving development-related outcomes.

Vision: Our vision is to use scientific discovery to ensure optimal health through individualized nutrition.

Mission: To enhance understanding of health and human development through greater knowledge of how genetic, epigenetic, and metabolic mechanisms affect people’s requirements for and responses to nutrition.
